Saturday @ Jacksonville Jazz Fest
13 albums
It may have been raining most of the day but the festival went on as planned. I enjoy the later part of the day. I feel the city did a fantastic job with the festival. How awesome it was to be able to roam around downtown and listen to awesome Jazz, have a drink, shop, and laugh with friends. I was blown away by the happiness of the crowd. Take a look and see if you were spotted by your Girl On The Town Photographer for Jacksonville.com. I truly enjoyed seeing so many familiar faces.

The Cummer's original house had to be torn down to make way for the Museum, but the family's living room was dismantled and reconstructed inside the new building. National Park(ing) Day in Jacksonville
39 photos
for sale
On Friday September 19th, Jacksonville Scene and Thursday Night Drinking Club participated in the Trust for Public Land "Park(ing) Day". In 90 cities across the country people set up temporary parks in parallel parking spots to promote parks in downtown areas. We had tons of people stop by and enjoy our park during their lunch break, smoke break or just to get out of work a little early. Special thanks to A1 Sod for providing the grassy area for us to walk around barefoot in all day and to Gecko Gardens for masterfully creating our private city oasis. Cornhole, Catchphrase and Uno were enjoyed by all who stopped by. We will see you there again next year! For more information visit www.thndc.com or www.jacksonvillescene.com.
